AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): While interacting with media at the Akhaura checkpost, a Bangladesh High Commissioner official said, it’s the responsibility of everyone to stop illegal border activities.
12 Bangladesh citizens were sent to their own country today.
“It happens mainly because of lack of awareness. Out of the 12 persons, 1 is a minor girl whereas rest 11 came in search of work. I would say, many people from both sides of the border illegally visit both countries and end up getting arrested or in detention centers. When Govt is distributing VISA why nobody should choose the illegal way to cross the border? Common men can play a role in stopping such activities”, said the official.
