AGARTALA, Jan 30 (TIWN): Reacting to journalists’ queries about how the Govt would handle the issues over ongoing problems created by many gas agencies by imposing extra carrying charges on the consumers, when the Central Govt already is paying the gas agency for the carrying costs, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury asked consumers to lodge complaints. Although the gas agencies are supposed to deliver the gases at free and if not, they should slash the carrying charge, but it’s an open secret that the gas agency companies are instead of facilitating the consumers, rather imposing extra charges on them. "We have not received any complaint yet. In no way, consumers should be harassed or exploited. Definitely, we are going to take very strict action”, said Sushanta Chowdhury.
“The suffered victims must lodge complaints so that Govt can take action. Once we receive the complaint, necessary actions will be taken", Chowdhury added.
