AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday while addressing at the Industry fair said, he wants to see a 50% growth in the GDP in this industry sector. CM invited businessmen to invest in Tripura and to become a part of the development. “Tripura has seen an increasement of bout 30 more industry sectors ; out of them 15 are big or medium size industries. A 10% growth has been seen in last few years but I want at least in this sector we should have a 50% growth. Tripura has about 7,200 workers who are working in these industry sectors. Apart from Govt department in private organizations, many employments are happening”.
"Those who have opened their stalls today here, I would recommend that keep on refining your products and continue developing them", added CM.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated 34th edition of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair. The fair was organized at International Fair Ground, Hapania since 5.00 PM on Thursday.
The International Industry & Commerce Fair at Hapania International Ground will continue from 25th January to 11th February. Various cultural programs were organized on the inaugural day of the fair.
Minister Santana Chakma was also present on the occasion along with other officers of the Industry and Commerce Department.
