BISHALGARH, Jan 22 (TIWN): A house was looted by thieves in War No-2, Harish Nagar Gram Panchayat under Bishalgarh PS in the absence of the house owner.
House owner Jhutan Deb said, he along with his whole family were out of home to attend a function on Saturday. They returned on Monday evening and found the house was locked from inside.
“Seeing our home is locked, doubt triggered. We entered the home by the back door and found that everything was looted including gild jewelry, cash,” said Jhutan Deb.
Police visited the home and lodged a case. An investigation has been started to find out the culprits.
Increasing theft cases in the state have made lives miserable. Even though police are arresting many people in such crimes and busting thieves gangs, the theft incident rates have yet to see any curb.
