AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Traditional Makar Sankranti festival was celebrated in Tripura.

Households made traditional sweet items on the occasion as a part of Bengali families annual ritual.

Today morning “Burir Dala” festival was celebrated and after the holy bath, the preparation for sweet items started.

This Makar Sankranti is a part of festival which is dedicated to the harvested crops of the farmers.
