AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): In protest against teachers’ crisis, guardians have locked school gate in Khowai, Surjasen Vidyamandir as the guardians have been waiting for the appointment of teachers for the last 1 month. The school has only one teacher which is insufficient for the junior basic school. After the guardians protested last time, the authority assured that within 1 week more teachers would be appointed but all were vein and so far not a single teacher has been appointed. As a result, the agitated parents locked the school gate once again protesting the teachers’ crisis matter.
Due to the teachers’ crisis, students are suffering for a long time. The strength of students are 70 and teacher is only 1.
Education system has fully collapsed there, resulted in poor academic performance of the stidents. Guardians said, if the issue is not solved, the protests will continue.
