Agartala, Jan 28 (TIWN):Clash broke between locals and Border Security Force(BSF) troopers today evening at Rahimpur under Boxanagar police station leading to injury of six locals and one BSF personnel. All the local injured are admitted in Boxanagar civil hospital.
The injured BSF personnel namely Rakesh Das of 158 battalion BSF. According to police ,today afternoon Rakesh Das near gate number 163 of international border fence tried to stop some suspected smugglers.
But the smugglers assaulted the BSF jawan tied him and took away his rifle and magazines. On the news of the incident reached Rahimpur border observation post (BOP) other BSF jawans rushed to the spot and rescued the injured jawan, rifle and magazines. While trying to rescue the jawan, a clash broke between the locals and BSF. In the clash at least six person was injured. Senior police and BSF officials have rushed to the place and brought the situation under control.
