160 Kg Ganja worth Rs. 16 lakhs seized by Ambassa Police : Driver escaped

AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): At least 16 Kg Ganja worth Rs. 160 Kg seized by Ambassa police during regular checking at Betbagan Naka area but the driver managed to escape from the spot and police have activated its networks to apprehend the culprit, said police.
The vehicle numbered AS01TUC-5437 have secret chambers and behind the driver’s seat also there is a secret chamber. Total 16 packets of Ganja was seized from the vehicle and in each packet, 160 kg of Ganja was kept. The market value of the seized items would be at least Rs. 16 lakhs.
A specific NDPS case has been registered based on the seizure. Police are now trying to find the vehicle owner’s name and identify the driver.
