AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Panchayat Secretary of Bharat Chandra Nagar block was suspended for embezzling public funds that were allocated for water supplies.

DM South District has issued the suspension order of Panchayat Secretary Anath Pal.

As per the report, over Rs. 10 lakhs have been looted by the accused which was funded to expand water connectivity at Belonia Bharat Chandra block.

The matter is now under investigation.
