BELONIA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Pathetic road conditions have turned lives miserable in various parts of the state. In the Belonia-Chittakhola area, local people are resentment over the pathetic road conditions but left with no hope for further development. On being asked, a local shopkeeper said, “Can it be even considered as a road? It has been left in this deplorable situation within two months of maintenance work was done. No official visits the spot and checks the quality of such maintenance works. The works are going on as per the wishes of the contractors”.
“Just few months back, the road was repaired and within few days, it was damaged. No standard is maintained in the repairing works. It should be investigated”, said a local.
“We face a lot of trouble while driving. Our vehicles’ conditions are miserable. During rainy days it turns worse. It’s winter and invisibility due to fog makes the travel riskier”, said an auto driver who was carrying passengers via that road.
