AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Minister Sushanta Chowdhury chaired a meeting with Indian Oil Corporation officers about Shekerkote ongoing project.
“There is a massive project that is going on in Shekerkote. Petrol, diesel stocks will be kept there and the Dharmanagar depot will be shifted here. By doing this, the artificial fuel crisis during monsoon would stop”, said Sushanta Chowdhury.
“By 2025, the project is expected to be completed but Indian Oil Corporation is trying to complete the project before that. It’s a 500 crores project, started in 2022. There are some obstacles regarding land acquisition, road needs to be constructed by PWD. We are trying to complete everything fast so that the project is completed. After that, we can also export fuel to Bangladesh”, said Sushanta Chowdhury.
