AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): In politics, candidate selection is a major decision for any political party as public opinion to some extent is influenced by the candidate’s reputation which builds public trust and finally decisions are taken by voters which candiates worth voters' nod. Centering Lok Sabha Election 2024's candidate selection for the East Tripura constituency, state media is keeping heavy interest amid MP Rebati Tripura has been representing the constituency in the Parliament for last 5 years sucessfully. Jishnu Debbarman served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura from 2018 to 2023.
On the other hand, whether BJP can influence the Tipra Motha leaders for Lok Sabha candidate selection or not, it’s another curiosity arousing discussion matter.
