AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): BJP government removed pension facility for all Govt employees who had joined in jobs since 2018. Today during the Left back teachers’ union’s conference voice raised against the removal of pension that come under New Pension Policy. The 7th, annual meeting was called by TGTA – Tripura Govt Teachers’ Association for 2 days in Agartala Town Hall. Total of 660 teachers joined the conference in the presence of STFI General Secretary Sukumar Paain. TGTA General Secretary Sukanta Banerjee, and TECC General Secretary Swapan Ball were also present at the conference. From 23 subdivisions teachers joined the conference.
“A suffocating condition has been created by Nagpur’s RSS controlled Corporate BJP Govt. It is working just to help the 10% people of India. In Tripura the same Govt’s double engine is functioning. The Education system is in jeopardy. We will raise a slogan against privatization and will voice for Education for all. We will raise slogan against the New Pension Policy that has been blueprinted to end the teachers’ lives after retirement”, said a leader of the organization.
