AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Sometimes he was seen with former CM Biplab Deb’s chief rival leader Sudip Roy Barman and suddenly cut all political connections after being appointed in GB as a Biomedical Engineer and got contracts of medical equpiments. After a year, now a serious allegation has been imposed against Ratul Dey and his wife Sharmishtha Majumder for being involved in gross violation of business ethics and Govt regulations after he was accused of selling his own products to GB and IGM hospital and also to Dental Medical College and as authority, he himself was approving those products.

So, there was no middleman to check the supply-chain and prices were put as per wishes. Centering this issue an argument erupted between the business partner named Md. 

Arif Box and Ratul Dey. Consequently police booked both and took them for medical, where Ratal Dey was accused of being drunk at IGM hospital.

Talking to the complainer, Md. Arif Box, said, Police initially was not willing to lodge the case against Ratul Dey but at last the FIR was lodged. Box said, he will everything to expose the scam in legal ways.

“Ratul Dey’s wife Sharmistha Majumder asked me to go in partnership with G.C. Biomedicals. After joining in partnership, I discovered that everything in that company was suspicious. When I left the company and started my own, they called me and threatened me. I have the call record. After sometimes, some goons came to my shop and beat me up. On that night both of us were taken for medical test and Ratul Dey was found intoxicated”, said Box.

“I have mentioned in my FIR with details how much money he took from Dental hospital and other hospitals in exchange for equipment. He is the supplier and as Govt official he is the approver. Also Ratul Dey always shows his political muscle in work place. He threatened to file Love-Jihad case against me because my girlfriend is Hindu", Box added.
