AGARTALA, January 27 (TIWN): Laying a stress to promote the tribal culture here in Tripura the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) on its recent drive is all set to release a Kokborok documentary movie that pictures the lifestyle of the tribals from one’s birth till his death. The ADC executive member along with the movie cast and crew members today held a press conference at Agartala TTAADC Council Bhawan near Town hall.
Briefing the documentary film today during a press conference the film casters said that TTAADC on its recent drive to promote the tribal culture here in Tripura is all set to release a documentary film “Maari”. The casters said that the film will picture the lifestyle of tribals from one’s birth till his death. Beside with an idea to promote the Kokborok language and the tribal culture that is losing its color the documentary film has been made. Rs. 8 to 9 lakh has been spent to make the film.
Beside, laying a stress on the development of the tribal culture the ADC who remained present during the press conference said that the TTAADC has taken its necessary steps for organizing at least 850 workshops across the rural Tripura. Earlier several documentary movies has been made that has depicted the culture of tribals and has brought awareness to an anti social activities, said the members. During the next Financial year (FY) the TTAADC also plans to make a couple of documentaries with various themes and ideas.
