AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): TNGCL drivers have accused the company of burdening them with extra work without paying extra.
They are forced to work beyond their duty hours.
“If we have duties till night 9 am, we have to do duty more than that and no extra vehicle is appointed for that. As a result, we are burdened with work pressures and can’t even sleep. They do not give us any place even to rest. We have to stay under the open sky”, said a driver, who looked exhausted after a whole day’s work.
When Tripura people were busy celebrating Durga puja, the helpless drivers were seen protesting in front of the CNG Station, Agartala.
