AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): 5 thieves were arrested by East Agartala police in connection with two theft cases. Case lodged against 6 and 5 arrested and 1 person is absconding. Talking to SP West Kiran Kumar, he told media that ahead of Durga puja police are raiding various areas and in this connection arrests are also being taken place. The five thieves were arrested after complaints were lodged over two separate theft incidents. Hridoy Datta (18), Nayan Barman (22) are arrested in connection to gold ornaments and Sagar Sarkar (19), Rahul Das (28), Bishal Saha (22) were arrested in connection to scooty theft incident.

They will be produced before the Court on Tuesday.
