AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): Anganwadi workers and helpers held a rally raising various demands. The demands were raised, All Anganwadi workers and helpers who have retired after 2018 or will retire shall be paid pension of Rs.5,000/- and Rs.3,000/- per month each. To operate the Anganwadi Center, the SMP bill should be paid every month according to the current market price.
Anganwadi workers and helpers should be regularized. Gratuity and pension should be paid. In case of death of any worker or helper during job tenure, his family should be given employment according to his qualifications.
Demands were also raised that Anganwadi workers and assistants should be increased by Rs.18,000/- and Rs.15,000/- subject to regularization.
The above requirements have to be fulfilled till the prior approval of regularization. With all these demands, a procession was taken out in front of Agartala Rabindra Bhavan on Sunday by Tripura Anganwari and supporters.
Surender Kumar Pandey, Secretary of All India Majdoor Sangh joined the rally.
