AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): Nagichara Fish Transhipment Yard has been launched as Tripura’s first such a place that will give drivers, vehicle workers some time for relaxation, food center, sleep who are involved in transporting fish.
Talking to media, Board Director of Agartala SMART City Sailesh Yadav said, this move will not only keep Agartala city free from traffic jam but also to help the drivers with this space.
“Earlier, it has been seen that the drivers are forced to stay inside Truck, no food arrangement for them but now, this kind of initiative will really help the drivers to get some space for their rest. As Tripura is fish centeric state, that’s why this business has been prioritized but in coming days, the AMC will try to help other workers related to such transportations those who are involved not in fish transport but engaged with other commodities”, said Sailesh Yadav.
