AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath ventured frustration over the rising allegation against BJP Govt over power bill rises. Recently in a press conference, CPI-M stated that at least Rs. 450 crores were left with the Power Dept in 2018 March. In a press conference, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath refused the claim, stating no such profit could be made anyway and now BJP is trying to earn a revenue of Rs. 60 crores.“134% tariff was raised by CPI-M Govt. If the fund was that much, why the tariff was left?”, Nath asked.
Amid rising complaints of power bill increased and oppositions also brought same accusation, Ratan Lal Nath said, only 7% was increased by BJP Govt, and 134% was increased by CPI-M.
Amid all claims, however, it can be mentioned electricity bill has been more than double under the BJP Govt since 2018 and it’s common men’s complaint.
Blaming Left Front for rising 134% Electricity Bills, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday claimed that BJP Govt only increased 7% of the Electricity Bills.
“You guys (reporters) can take the picture. I am really sad to hear such kinds of remarks from Left. If it was Tipra Motha or Congress, I would not have mind”, said Nath.
“They (Left Front Govt) raised 134% electricity bills. Now, I have said 7% and they are giving all troubles.
