AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday 55th NSS day expressed concerns over the rising drug-addiction trends in the state, mentioning further about the accountability of the Govt against drug-problems stating that Tripura is now at top position in Northeast in seizing drugs.
CM was addressing at Rabindra Bhawan and said, “65% of India’s population are youth and some people can’t digest that and that’s why drugs are coming from Mayanmar and via Northeast and corridors of Tripura passing towards Bangladesh. We have the report. But our state is first in drug seizure”.
CM then asked school authority to take responsibility for finding out the students who are drug-addicted so that the spread of drug abuse can be stopped immediately. CM also asked the common men to do the same in their locality.
