AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Much criticized decision of Tripura Govt for opening opportunity for other states’ candidates to appear in Group-C and Group-D exams organized by JRBT, has now been defended by Minister Ratan Lal Nath after JRBT Group-C results were declared. Talking to media, Ratan Lal Nath said, “I do not know the exact number but as per my knowledge, only very few might be below 30 candidates from other states could crack the examination. Right now. We have a rule that only Tripura residents can appear in state govt recruitments but when JRBT exam was taken, at that time such laws did not existing. So it will follow that rule”.
It can be mentioned here, rows of protests were held in Tripura against JRBT's eligibility that allowed candidates from other states to participate for jobs here.
JRBT exam was taken two years back that is in mid-2021 and many protests were held for delay of results and finally the results were published on Monday.
However, JRBT would not be a luxurious job like other TPSC cracked jobs or teaching jobs if compared from the pension’s perspective. From that angle, JRBT has no such pension or after-retirement benefits.
