AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on being asked by media to comment over the poll result, said, “Result is not shocking and BJP should be ashamed of the result”.
“The administration was full paralyzed on poll day. That’s why we have boycotted the poll counting. BJP should be ashamed. Just look at Boxanagar, where BJP was defeated by 5000 votes, and after 6 months CPI-M has gotten only 3000 votes ?”, said Jitendra Chowdhry.
“If it was free and fair poll, BJP should have been defeated massively. The administration was full paralyzed on poll day”, added Chowdhury.
After this win, its total number of seats in the Tripura assembly is 33.
BJP's Tafajjal Hossain won the Boxanagar seat and Bindu Debnath bagged the Dhanpur seat.
