AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): After exposing massive rigging, fake vote casting along with booth capturing videos, CPI-M also boycotted the counting halls on by-poll result days.
On being asked about CPI-M’s defeat in the by-poll, party secretary Jitendra Chowdhury replied to media, “People have seen what happened in the by-poll and result is not shocking”.
“That’s why we have boycotted the poll counting. BJP should be ashamed. Just look at Boxanagar, where BJP was defeated by 5000 votes, and after 6 months CPI-M has gotten only 3000 votes ?”, said Jitendra Chowdhry.
“If it was free and fair poll, BJP should have been defeated massively. The administration was full paralyzed on poll day”, added Chowdhury.
