AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Water-logging lashed out Agartala city after rain occurred on Sunday. Vehicle movements were disrupted and public suffered due to massive water-logging. Hundreds of people were bound to walk through the waist-level water-logging as they had nowhere to go because the city was captured by same level of water-logging from many sides. BJP that is in power in State Tripura promised before 2018 Assembly Election that the Govt will end all water-logging problems if voted to power, but after BJP’s first term was ended by 2023-March, and now the second tenure started, no improvement was seen in this sector.

However, the BJP had its own clarification that even Mumbai, Chennai like cities suffer due to water-logging.

Also, the party and its leaders are of the view that in comparison to previous years, the water-logging problem is ending in a faster manner under the BJP era.
