AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Increasing cow thieves, smugglers and illegally entered people via border are facts in Kailashahar’s few villages even though lack of security, failure in border protection could not be addressed yet properly. According to local people, BSF have been failing to control the cross border trafficking, and intrusion, causing huge problems for the locals. In last two months, multiple villages faced the blow of rising theft cases.
On Monday Samrurpar Gram Panchayat’s Ward No-2 reported a theft incident. Cows from the house of Sadhan Deb was attempted to be looted by thieves. However, due to family members understood the matter, the theft incident could be prevented.
Local people demanded that the Govt must ensure more safety for the people there. They said, BSF Bn 199 is failing to take any action to curb illegal border intrusions.
