AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Tripura mourns over the death of Samsul Haque who died after a heart attack on Wednesday. The CPI(M) MLA was from the Boxanagar Assembly Constituency and breathed his last at Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC). He was 68 years old and a veteran CPI-M leader. Haque was survived by his wife, four sons, and relatives. Haque has become the MLA for the first time in his life in the assembly. As per reports, he joined the CPI-M party in 1972.
This incident also a setback for the CPI-M party at the organizational level as with his death the strength of MLAs of CPI-M has down to 10.
As per rule, now the Boxanagar constituency will see another by-poll to fill up the vacant post.
