AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Fund crisis in ‘Digital India’ troubling the employees and affecting the modernized set up’s vision of various sectors. Anganwadi workers of Tripura on Tuesday held a protest at the Director’s Office and said although online setup was started by Anganwadi centers but Govt is not giving fund to continue online system. The Anganwadi Workers warned State Govt for not working online from next month if pending arrears of Mobile Recharge Costs are not given.
“Initially the Govt gave 1-Year recharge but since then we are managing but no bill was clear. If the situation continues like this we can not work further in online system”, said an Anganwadi worker.
“It was promised that at each 1.5 month our fund will be managed but every time we have to sit in protest. When we protest, the authority does not want to meet us. Today also same issue has erupted. Each Anganwadi center needs at least 10000 rupees and our salaries are highest 10000”, said the agitating Anganwadi employee.
The employees also raised issue of working hours complaining “7 am to 1 pm working hours are inhuman”.
They also demanded salaries should not be delayed and must be given within 1st day of the month.
