AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has placed budget on July 7. In the budget, he stated, “This budget is a blue print for things to come in future and make Tripura a Developed State”. “I hope that this budget will play a very important role for overall welfare of the people of the State and for implementation of the same, I expect cooperation from all sections of people”, he said. Tripura’s GSDP has massively raised, said by State Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy during budget place. He stated, “In last five years we have taken number of steps for people’s welfare and economic development. "This August House will be happy to know that State economy (GSDP) is estimated to have grown by 8.80 % during last FY 2022-23, compared to 7.20% growth estimated at national level", Roy said.
"The State is estimated to grow at about 8.00% during the current FY 2023-24 as against estimated 6 to 6.5% growth at national level”, Roy told the Assembly.
“This` high economic growth is the reflection of our efforts for development of the State”, he added.
BJP led State Govt of Tripura presented 2023-24 Budget with an outlay of Rs 27,654.40 crore, with around Rs 5,358.70 crore allocated for capital expenditure.
