AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): To end the water-logging problems Battala Road side areas Vacated by AMC. The road from Battala Shiva temple to Dasmighat gets waterlogged due to light rain, which is a long-standing problem for Jayanagar residents.
Vacant land on both sides of the road in Battala area has been cleared under the initiative of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and work is underway to widen the drain and road.
Water from this area will fall into the Kalapaniya canal through this drain.
As a result, the people will get rid of the problem of water accumulation in this area during monsoon.
Besides, Mayor Dipak Majumdar inspected the development work of Battala market and Dasami Ghat area where the idols are immersed. Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Mayor in Council Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya, Corporator Nibas Das were present during the visit.
