AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): AIDSO has come forward to support the mid-session MBBS students against imposition of NExT examination, saying, it is giving heavy pressure on the students and also looting students’ money in the name of mock-test, online coaching.
The protest as staged in Agartala, requesting the Govt to relieve the students from such tests especially those who are in final year.
On July 1st, Protesting against the sudden imposition of National Exit Test for MBBS (NEXT-1) on students, the students of Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC) staged a protest on Saturday with meaningful banners saying “No” to such tests. The students have observed this Doctors’ Day as a “Black Day” for imposing such computer-based exams upon them just giving them 6 months time due to which the final year students are undergoing huge pressure. When the students were preparing for the final exams, such unexpected declarations elevated the question of whether the Education system is using students as guinea pigs or not. The agitating students said, they will meet the Chief Minister of the state who himself is a Doctor.
The students accused the system for promoting costly online coaching business through the compulsory examinations.
