AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Fees for students in government degree colleges in the state have been increased from Rs. 310 to Rs. 1,262.
On Monday, the All India Progressive Student Forum scheduled to give a deputation to the Director of Education in Shiksha Bhawan demanding the withdrawal of Rs 1,262 fee decision.
But the Director did not meet them properly and refused to discuss about the issue led the forum members to stage protest in front of the Shiksha Bhawan.
The agitators said, they did not get any assurance from the Director about the fee reduction.
