AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Many families were affected in South Chandrapur’s Srilanka Basti area due to flood there.

After Saturday’s heavy rain, the Srilanka Basti area was flooded which has affected many families.

A local said, the situation is developed now but some families were badly affected led them to take shelter in the nearest school building.

Another local said, no Govt official has visited the area and no step was taken by Govt to rescue the people. Disaster Management team also played no role during the bad weather.
