Two Arrested in Agartala Mob-Lynching Case : Police Say, ‘Many more to be Arrested’

AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): In a major success, tow persons have been arrested by Agartala East PS Police on Friday in connection to the Baldakhal mob-lynching incident where Nandu Sarkar (40) was killed by people with accusation of cow-thief on the day of Eid. The arrested persons are : 1) Bhaskar Das (25), and 2) Dibakar Das (27). Both are siblings.
Police said, many more names are on the accused list and police would arrest them. These two arrested persons will be produced before the court seeking remand.
East PS OC-Rana Chatterjee told media that after interrogation, further steps will be taken.
