TELIAMURA, June 25 (TIWN): Public has been harassed due to the closure of ration shops for the past two days.

The incident happened in Moharchara area.

The ration shop in Moharchara area (Shop No-2) was closed for two days without any reason.

Dealer Ramdhan Debnath closed the ration shop as per his wise without any proper reason or permission from authority.

Ramdhan Debnath went to a function on Saturday of a political party, keeping the ration shop closed.

But Ramdhan Debnath told reporters that due to his mother's illness, he has not been able to open the shop for two days.

However, when the matter was brought to the notice of the Teliamura sub-division food officer, he said that he would investigate the matter.
