AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Bangla Academy of Tripura and West Bengal demanded to include Bengali language as one of the ‘Draupodi’ languages of India.

So far six languages have been taken under Draupodi language and according to Bangla Academy, Bengali language too deserves to be included because this language is one of the oldest languages of India.

The Academy has requested Tripura and West Bengal Govt to send the proposal to Center so that Central can consider the matter.
