AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): Tripura has no industrialization and nobody can deny the fact. An engineer who gets 6 to 12 lakhs annual package at the initial stage of his/her career in private companies outside Tripura, Tripura has no such big company result, massive unemployment among engineers who want to stay in Tripura or in other words who are bound to stay in Tripura due to personal reasons. Tripura Govt is interviewing the job aspirants but it was seen in recent interviews the seats were made for any Indian that means job aspirants from other states also may apply. Opposing this, the job aspirants today requested CM Manik Saha to withdraw the decision and to make PRTC mandatory or to take exams via TPSC where PRTC will be compulsory i.e. only residents of Tripura may apply for the posts.
“We are also suffering due to lack of scope in this state and when Govt jobs are being given, here it has made open for all Indians. We request the Govt to modify the decision. In many TPSC exams, PRTC is compulsory. Then why for Engineers it should be different?”, said a job aspirant.
They also requested that there should be a waiting list for the minimum score achiever candidates so that if they do not get the job immediately, they may stay on the waiting list and as a result if suitable candidates are not found, then they can be recruited in the vacant posts. The job apsirants said, some states have that provision and Tripura Govt can also follow that.
