AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): Water logging problems are not new problems for Agartala city but BJP before 2018 Election promised to end water-logging problems by developing the city. However, in last 6 years except fitting some water-discharging machines nothing was done. As a result, regardless the weather’s condition, Municipal workers are forced to work when the rain comes. It does not matter, whether heavy thunders are going on or not but they are forced to stand beside the machines so that their dedication may help the leaders from negative media publicity. It was seen that on Thursday, amid thunder the Municipal workers are working on water discharge machines.
BJP before coming into power promised that there will zero water logging in Agartala city if BJP comes to power, but after 6 years of Govt, nothing could be developed much.
In water-logging control, only some new machines were installed but what was promised about SMART City it could not be done.
However, thousands of evictions took place in the last 6 years of BJP Govt in the name of SMART City and a lot of parking charge, increase in rents and other taxes were started by this Govt.
