At present, preliminary phase of electric rail line extension work is going on at different places of Agartala Dharmanagar rail track under North Eastern Railway. As usual, work has been going on in the Maiganga area of Krishnapur assembly constituency and the railway tracks in the adjoining areas for quite some time.

Local residents are expressing doubts that all the agencies or contractors who have been quoted for the construction work are doing a big mess here. They stopped the work which caused a chaos over there.

As per the report, the work is now paused and unless higher authority comes to the spot, the issue will not be resolved.
