AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Dead body of a car driver was recovered from a drain in West Pratapgarh Thakur Palli Road area under AD Nagar police station on Saturday.

According to the details of the incident it is known that on Saturday morning local residents noticed dead body of a car driver named Ajit Das (35) and immediately informed the AD Nagar PS. The police after receiving the news rushed to the spot and have started an investigation.

The owner of the car said that Ajit Das (the demise driver) came in front of his house after driving late last night in a drunken state. After that that his dead body recovered from the vehicle.

The car owner's initial assumption is that he may have died by falling into the drain due to over-intoxication.

Tense gripped in the entire area over recovering dead body of the driver from the car. However, after investigation, the death reason will come out.
