DHARMANAGAR, June 10 (TIWN): Based on tip-off, five Bangladeshi nationals were detained at Dharmanagar railway station from Humsafar Express on Saturday morning.
The passengers of the train were traveling from Agartala to Bengaluru and these five persons also attempted to go by this train, but Police caught them and took them to the Police Station.
The arrested persons are Rafiqul, Shafiqul Islam, Shahab Ali Sheikh, Mumtaz Akhtar and Rozina Begum.
All of them are citizens of Bangladesh. Such illegal entries have become a serious problem for the state Tripura.
So far, it could be known that the brokers made them cross the fence in the middle of the night through a place called Amtali in Bangladesh.
They did not see any Border Security Force at that time. From there they came to Agartala railway station.
RPF police team is now investigating the incident.
