AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Airport PS Police noticed a suspicious parked vehicle at Chinaihani area in Ushabazar, and after led a search operation in the vehicle Police recovered Cough Syrup worth Rs 3 crore.

The search operation was led by BSF and Airport PS Police jointly under the leadership of Airport PS OC Suman Singh, said SDPO Parmita Pandey.

SDPO Parmita Pandey said that total of 84,800 bottles of Cough syrup was recovered from truck registration No- WB61B1917 which estimated price of around Rs 3 crore approx.

During the operation, no one was arrested but the Police started an investigation after taking up a case under the NDPS act. 

Based on secret information police raided a corn carrying vehicle and seized huge quantity of Cough Syrup worth Rs. 3 Crores.

SDPO Paramita Pandey informed that BSF and Police in a joint raid held the successful operation.
