AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): With a sudden splash of rain in isolated parts of the state on Thursday morning the people of Tripura got much relief from the scorching heat.
A sudden rain that lashed a few parts of the State in the morning brought the much -needed relief to people from sweltering heat conditions prevailing across the State for the last few days.
For people of the capital city and few other areas, it was like a blessing in disguise. Cloudy weather is expected to prevail for next 24 hours in the state.
However, rain has also hit Dharmanagar and Udaipur since morning. People in Tripura heaved a sigh of relief after moderate rain was witnessed in many places in the state.
Several villages also received moderate to heavy rainfall, inundating fields in a few villages. Farmers are also happy over the rain splashes as due to dry weather, they were facing a lot of problems in cultivation.
