KHOWAI, June 6 (TIWN): Khowai police recovered 48 packets of ganja from a Maruti car which was carrying a fake number. The driver of the car was arrested. Police said it is their another success in the anti-narcotics operation row. During the vehicle checking, the police of Khowai police station conducted an operation on a Maruti car with a fake number and recovered 36 kg of ganja in 48 packets. On Tuesday, under the leadership of OC Rajkumar Jamatija of Khowai police station, police started vehicle checking.
During the vehicle checking, a Maruti car bearing fake number A01AQ7156 was searched and 36 kg of ganja in 48 packets were recovered from different parts of the car and the driver of the car was arrested along with the police of Khowai police station.
It is known that the driver of the arrested vehicle will be handed over to the Khowai District and Sessions Court tomorrow on Wednesday.
