AGARTALA, January 23 (TIWN): To ensure peace and any untoward incident section 144 has been imposed along the Indo-Bangla border under the West District. Abhishek Singh imposed restrictions on the movement of the residents living within 500 meter area along the bordering areas under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure- 1973.
The imposed restriction has come into effect from from January 1 and will continue till April 4.
According to the Section 144, the movement of the people would be restricted from 8 PM till 5 AM next morning.
However but the restriction would not be applicable for the security personnel, Sadar and Mohanpur Sub Divisional Magistrates and government officials for their duty purpose. Excluding them, if anyone is found disobeying the order other than the patients who needs to take permission from the concerned administration, the administration would take strict action against him, the order said.
