AGARTALA, April 12 (TIWN): In an attempt to inspire the state with Clean Street and hygienic Fast Food, West Dist administration has started training vendors in City Center area to make the area cleanest to project as a model of ‘Clean Street Food Hub’. In a press meet, DM West along with other Dept officials have announced that.All kinds of training have already been provided and the project is underway, soon to be launched. This enhances the capacity of the City towards its SMART City mission.
India’s reputation has been worst globally due to unhygienic, dirty surroundings and the picture of India remains negative especially due to the lack of hygiene across the country. However, few cities in India especially in the South have broken the stereotype and considered food safety as Govt’s one of the priority. In Tripura, even after many attempts taken at the IAS level, the condition remains same. On Wednesday, a visit was made to various areas of Agartala city where officials led by DM West Debapriyo Bardhan checked the food quality and the kitchens. Strict warnings have been given to each shopkeeper about cleanliness and hygiene maintenance.
