AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): Miscreants organized attack on a shopkeeper in a broad Daylight, ransacked shop and looted shop’s items including cash Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000. The incident occurred on Wednesday in a broad daylight t Mantala Bazar in Dharmanagar under Dharmanagar PS. The victim shopkeeper is identified as Sanjoy Hor, before he realizes anything miscreants beat him up with Rod. Later, the shopkeeper Sanjoy Kar escaped from the spot and taking this opportunity miscreants looted Rs 50,000.
It is said that after reporting the incident to the PS by a shop owner and other eyewitnesses, two Constables reached to the incident spot after an hour. Later under pressure of the local people an SI and another constable reached to the incident spot.
Police after reaching to the incident spot asked the shopkeeper to file a case in written which generated angst on shopkeeper as the incident occurred in a broad daylight in front of Public.
The shopkeeper said that the miscreants organised attack on the shop by covering their face with black cloth. He also said that he has been running his trade since 1998 but he had never faced such hooliganism before. Centering the attack in broad daylight he raised question, if miscreants attack in broad Daylight, then exactly how safe the entire Dharmanagar public are?
The victim shopkeeper demanded the Police should take stern action against the miscreants.
