AGARTALA, January 19 (TIWN): The Unakoti District Police Super (SP) passed an order to restrict any kind of public meeting, political party gathering and rallies across the district. The order indicated that one has to take an advance permission from the district SP before conducting such meetings and rallies and that even 48 hours before conducting meetings at the Unakoti District.
Following the restriction ordered at the Unakoti district, one has to mention the venue, time and the status of the rally, in the application form. And then have to be sublitted with the district SP office 48 hours before conducting any kind of public meeting, political party gatherings and rallies.
In an order it is said that the restriction of public meeting is imposed at Kailsahar Municipal Council area, Kumarghat Nagar Panchayat, Fotikrai Bazar under Kumarghat PS, Kanchanbari, Rajnagar, Gokulnagar, Rajkandi area, Gournagar covering 3 Km area and other places under the Unakoti district.
The imposed order has come into effect from January 1, 2015 and will continue till March 31, 2015. However as per the order if any individual disobey the rules and the restriction imposed under the Unakoti district than he or she will be accused under the police act of 82.
