AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Congress MLA Sudip Barman slammed India Today TV channel for baseless Exit Poll without a single talk with the voters on poll day of 16th February. India Today's top journalist Rahul Kanwal after the challenge received from Sudip Barman over the "missing" ground work said, "This is not exit poll. This is post poll analysis". Barman then further advised India Today team to rename the program as "Opinion Poll" and not "Exit Poll", because it's misleading.
Just hours before the Exit Poll was declared by national media, Congress called a press meet at Post Office Chowmuhani and alleged "Hefty amounts were circulated to national and state medias to release fake exit poll".
Barman asked voters and party workers not to trust in such exit polls.
During the opinion poll discussion by India Today, Sudip Barman also said, the TV channel has failed to understand the sentiment of people just like they had predicted wrongly in the Bengal poll.
