AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): A 35-year-old youth named Rafiq Mia was severely beaten up by two persons over a petty argument in the Charipara Sachindra Lal area under AD Nagar police station.

The mother of the injured youth said that the young man named Rafiq Mia came to a shop in front of the house to buy things. In the meantime, there was an argument between Rafiq Mia and two persons named Hossain Mia and Sohail Mia, residents of the area.

These two people beat Rafiq Mia severely. Later the family members of the injured youth rushed to the spot and rescued Rafiq Mia and brought him to IGM Hospital for treatment.

The injured youth is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The mother of the injured youth said that a case will be filed against Hossain Mia and Sohel Mia at Amtali police station.
